In Memory: A Tribute to our Mascot “Axel”
Our beloved team mascot Axel passed away in April 2019 at 12 years of age from kidney failure that he battled towards the end of his adult life. He was such a good dog and we will all miss his lovable ways. Axel was a blue brindle Cane Corso born on March 26th, 2007, adopted by Chris & Krystal Collins at almost 2 years old, and then quickly became a loved member of the family. When The Collins’ son was born, Broc and Axel became fast friends and did everything together.
When A-Team Carpet Clean opened in 2009, Axel became the mascot because he loved to ride in the back of the work truck and greet customers. He became very popular and loved at a place called Jon-Don in Dallas, Texas where Chris would take the carpet cleaning and water extraction machines to get worked on. They loved him so much that they made him his own special spot in the garage with a bed, treats, and water and he would lay there and watch all the mechanics work. Then as they would walk by him they would give him some “lovens”.
He was such a sweet soul with a patient heart…we all feel blessed to have shared every moment with him and will always keep him alive in memory.
